WHO WE ARE?

Chelsea Corp Ltd is a multi-disciplinary construction and remediation company. We offer a full range of construction, remediation, maintenance and upgrade services including Project Management, Commercial, Civil, Industrial, Infrastructure Refurbishment as well as Residential New Build.

We have been awarded Best Multi-Disciplinary Construction and Remediation company in New Zealand from 2019 – 2022 at the Construction and Engineering awards hosted by Branz Build Magazine.

Chelsea Corp established a dedicated concrete repair division due to the growing need for our specialist service. The company is well known for its high-quality workmanship and is well-focused on the professional delivery of applications for concrete remediation, protective coatings, structural repairs, seismic upgrades, carbon fibre strengthening systems, structural steel installation, crack injection, non-disruptive wall ties, seismic joints and safety barrier installation.

Chelsea Corp can also provide waterproofing services such as car park deck systems, panel joint sealants, roofing, decking and tanking membranes.

Our team of qualified specialists are approved applicators for specialist products and systems from international companies such as Sika, Mapei, Watson Bowman Acme, Ardex, Viking Roofspec, Jaydex, Equus, Nuralite, Waterproofing Systems, Bostik, Emseal, BAS construction joints. We are currently also seeking status with a few other suppliers.

We hold an ACC WSMP tertiary level, are recipients of a Site Wise Gold certificate, are a Totika PREQUAL approved contractor, and a member of IsNet.

Our Team

Fozia Khan – Accounts & Office Manager

Fozia joined Chelsea in 2019. She is passionate and dedicated about her work and has over 15 years of experience in the Accounts, HR and Administration fields. As the Accounts and Office Manager at Chelsea Corp, Fozia is responsible for all of the financial, human resources, as well as health and safety functions within the business.

Fozia enjoys working with the team in a collaborative environment with dedicated management. She brings considerable calm to what is often a humming environment.

Fozia holds a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Human Resources and Management.

Anthony Balazo – Senior Estimator

Anthony is a Civil Engineer from the Philippines and has over 15 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Estimating. He is well versed in various building constructions as well as works for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

He has fulfilled a multifaceted career and executed various aspects of the estimating and quantity surveying profession. This includes preparing high-level construction cost estimates for major projects such as the Mobile Cell Towers all over New Zealand; Vista Estate LP Transpower underground contract; Karaka sub-division development as well as the Stormwater upgrade to mention a few.

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree and a Diploma in Quantity Surveying together with a Certificate in AUTOCAD.

Nicole Sutherland - Operations Manager

Nicole is responsible for building efficiencies into company processes and ensuring all systems are operating to standard. This has included rolling out a digital platform for capturing timesheets, project data, scheduling personnel and maintaining team whereabouts. She has also been integral in bringing several of our processes to the digital era e.g., day work sheets, QA forms, plus itemisation and location of the company’s tools and chemicals. Further, Nicole is responsible for ensuring that the company is compliant across the board and is well-represented online via its website and LinkedIn pages. For personnel purposes she is responsible for supporting the leadership team, maintaining team morale and fulfilling recruitment requirements to name a few.

Prior to joining Chelsea, Nicole worked as a Project Manager for Weber Shandwick’s Data & Analytics team in London, across clients such as Nespresso, Novartis, McDonald’s and Mars (integrated communications). She also worked as a Project Manager for North Highland in London, where she was responsible for supporting the merger between O2 and Virgin Media (management consultancy). Before this she carved out her project management trajectory within Edelman’s Assembly team in London, who is responsible for servicing the full Microsoft business i.e., B2B, B2C, Corporate, Xbox UK and Xbox EMEA (integrated communications).

Nicole has also worked as a Sales & Marketing Consultant, in Australia (fitness). Prior to this, she worked as an Accounts & Communications Executive in New Zealand (events/charitable trust). Her varied experience across teams, industries and continents adds dynamism and fresh perspective to all she turns her hand to.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree majoring in Marketing, International Business, Management & Human Resources and a Diploma in Integrated Nutrition & Homeopathy, together with Certificates in Prince 2 Foundation & Prince 2 Practitioner.

Rob Edmonds – Senior Project Manager

Rob is involved in a variety of administrative roles, including meeting clients, pricing work for tenders and developing detailed work programmes. His role also includes providing on-site leadership to ensure projects run to time and budget. Rob has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and project management.

Prior to joining Chelsea, he ran his own Architectural Practice for 10 years, which involved working very closely with many local Councils to obtain a wide range of resource and building consents. Producing the documentation required for these such consents required working with a wide range of building industry professionals such as structural engineers, surveyors, fire service engineers and so on.

Rob has also had many years of experience as a carpenter on a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial projects. In addition to a great deal of hands-on experience in the building process, Rob also has a great deal of experience with reading and interpreting plans or diagrams, plus accurately measuring and setting out projects.

Finally, Rob has had over 10 years of experience in on-site management, running a variety of residential and commercial projects. Key components of this included personnel management, ordering materials and coordinating subcontractors. This also included running site meetings, toolbox talks and ensuring all onsite documentation including incident reports and QA sheets, were kept up-to-date.
