In early 2017 it was discovered that steel reinforcement in the external structure of this popular Auckland restaurant was becoming corroded, which in turn had led to the development of tension cracks in the building.

CHALLENGES
This Lonestar Restaurant is on one of the busiest street areas in Auckland, therefore the safety of pedestrians and restaurant staff had to be considered. Getting products delivered on time to this very busy street location was also a significant challenge, as was Auckland’s “four seasons in one day” weather.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
Products selected to carry out the refurbishment had to be resistant to all kinds of weather conditions, in order to prevent the seepage of water into the building.
